The men behind the masks, Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca and Anthony Daniels as C3PO.

This is one of my favorite chewy moments. Its from the scene in Empire Strikes Back when Chewbacca’s stuck in the detention center on bespin and he starts to reassemble C3PO, but puts his head on backwards.

The color piece was a commission for fellow artist, Brian Schillenger, Thanks Brian, (by the way Brains a killer artist and you should defiantly check out his stuff - Link)

He asked me to do this piece with the intention of getting it signed by Peter Mayhew (yup, Chewy himself!) at the Steel City Comic Con in Pittsburgh later this year.

Here’s the good part, Brian opted not to buy the pencil study, but he is taking it with him and getting it signed ‘for me‘.

So this is going to be very cool opportunity for someone to own this piece, with a Chewy signature on it!

The Pittsburgh Con is December 4th, 5th, & 6th. I’m not going to sell it before then, just in case something goes wrong and it doesn’t get signed or God forbid, something happens to it (and I don’t want to put too much pressure on Brian) but if someones really interested, let me know, Email me - JeffLaffertyIllustration@gmail.com and I’ll start a list of who wants it, so when it does go on sale everyone’s got a fighting chance.
